Canadian Music Edition

Everybody seems to know about Arcade Fire, what with their recent album release.  Then there's Justin Bieber.  That's enough about him.

Anyway, here are a bunch of "old" Canadian tunes from the late 90s/early 00s.  I was inspired to do this post after the first song below came up when I put my iTunes on "shuffle".

The Watchmen - Absolutely Anytime

The Tragically Hip - Grace Too

Big Wreck - The Oaf (My Luck is Wasted)

Spirit of the West - Home for a Rest

Treble Charger - American Psycho

Gob - Give Up the Grudge

Great CCM songs from the 90s

To me, cause I'm old, the golden age of Christian Contemporary Music is the 90s.  Funny thing is that even CCM has a mainstream and non-mainstream music. Most of these are not in the mainstream.

Enjoy.

Banquet at World's End by Daniel Amos (on Motorcycle (1993) )

A Place Called Love by Fleming & John (on Delusions of Grandeur (1996) )

Dancing in Concert With The Infinite by DigHayZoose (on MagentaMantaLoveTree (1993) )

Imagine That by The Lost Dogs (on Little Red Riding Hood (1993) )

Christ Saves by LSU (on Grace Shaker (1994) )

Dome of the Rock by Magdallan (on Big Bang (1992) )

Great Lengths by PFR (on Great Lengths (1994) )

Lorde Royals and covers

Lorde's song Royals is fantastic.

Here's a 7 foot tall clown covering it:

And here's another band covering it but with cool instrumentation

While we're talking about 7 foot tall clowns, listen to his voice!  Dude can sing!
